Life Is Strange: Double Exposure is launching in just a few short weeks, putting players back into the shoes of the first game’s protagonist, Max Caulfield, on a new adventure that moves her from one US coast to the other. We recently played a 45-minute demo of one of the game’s early chapters that shows off her newfound abilities to move between parallel realities with one major difference: In one world, her friend Safi is alive; in the other, she’s been murdered, and the killer in the first reality may still be at-large, leading Max on an adventure to save her friend before it’s too late.We also spoke to the game’s creative director, Jonathan Stauder, and narrative director Felice Kuan, about what went into building out this new story for Max, how she ended up in Vermont, and more on the lore surrounding the broader Life is Strange universe. You can read our Q&A with the team below, before the game’s debut on October 29.

The Tony Hawk Pro Skater social media accounts have gotten a refresh for the franchise’s 25th anniversary and fans are now ablaze with speculation. No official news of any kind has been released, but Tony Hawk Pro Skater accounts on X/Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook all got a facelift with a 25th anniversary logo (Thanks Eurogamer). All the images have a 2024 copyright water mark, which suggest Activision has renewed the franchise’s copyright. The update has fans wondering if a Pro Skater 3 and 4 remaster is on the horizon.

The most recent game in the franchise was Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, which released back in September 2020. It remade the original two games adding a robust create-a-park feature, online multiplayer, and several new skaters. Vicarious Visions developed the remake, but became Blizzard Albany shortly after release upon merging with the World of Warcraft and Overwatch developer. A THPS 3 + 4 remake was in active development, but was ultimately sideli…

Earlier this month, reports emerged that The Acolyte had been canceled after only a single season on Disney+. Lee Jung-jae, who played Jedi Master Sol on the series, expressed his surprise about The Acolyte’s fate. However, Amandla Stenberg–who headlined the show as twin sisters Osha and Mae–says that “it was not a huge shock” after the backlash that the series received from the time it was announced.Via Deadline, Stenberg posted a lengthy statement on her Instagram Stories. “For those who aren’t aware, there has been a rampage of vitriol that we have faced since the show was even announced, when it was still just a concept and no one had even seen it,” wrote Stenberg. She also related that “hyper-conservative bigotry and vitriol, prejudiced hatred and hateful language” were directed towards her and the rest of the cast.Stenberg previously acknowledged this backlash when she released an original song about it during the middle of The Acolyte’s season. But regardless of the vitriol she received, Stenberg reiterated her gratitude that she was given a chance to play in the Star Wars universe.”I just have to say it has been an incredible honor and dream for me to be in this univers…

Earlier this week, the Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road application was unexpectedly delisted from the Apple and Google Play stores. The Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road mobile game contained pivotal lore, key story details, and an in-depth plot for the basis of much of the Kingdom Hearts series. Unchained X–previously known as Union X–and Dark Road did receive a cutscene compilation people can watch to experience the story, but playing the game seems to now be a bygone pasttime for Kingdom Hearts fans. This delisting poses great problems since one of the main characters introduced in the mobile game, Strelitzia, also appears in the first Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer and is teased to play a major role in the new installment alongside Sora.Delisting games abruptly without an announcement is nothing new. Just this past April, Capcom delisted three of its games, and according to the Video Game History Foundation, 87% of video games released in the United States before 2010 are “critically endangered,” making these games lost and/or susceptible to disappearing.Fans hope that Kingdom Hearts Union χ Dark Road will receive a remake or make its way outside of the mobile space. For years, the Lego franchise has dominated a specific space for licensed action-platformers, taking the essence of properties ranging from Star Wars to Harry Potter and transposing them into a goofy video game setting. What makes the Lego games fun, apart from their players’ affinity for colorful blocks, is the lighthearted tone inherent in translating the stories of various movies into toy form.Funko Fusion has a lot of surface similarities with Lego’s takes on video games, and the main one is a similarly comedic take on a lot of subject matter. Where Lego generally skews young, however, Funko Fusion, like the vinyl Pop toys the game is based on, wants to attract an older audience.

After years of refinement, crafting and survival games have developed a pretty effective formula: You’re dropped into a place where you gather sticks, you use the sticks to make an axe, the axe lets you cut down trees, and before long, you’re making a whole shelter and advancing up a tech tree and making more and more complex gear, mastering the wilderness around you.Winter Burrow doesn’t stray from that formula–at least, not in its first 20 minutes. But while it feels very similar to other survival games, most notably Don’t Starve, it sets itself apart through its tone and approach. Winter Burrow applies a cozy aesthetic to its survival, combining the feeling of danger with a sense that what you’re building isn’t a shelter to keep you alive, but a home.I played a short demo of Winter Burrow at Xbox’s Gamescom event in Los Angeles, which gave me a quick look at the game from its start. A short cutscene started the demo, setting up the story that follows an anthropomorphic mouse setting off for a new life. The mouse remembers his old home, the burrow, with fondness, but he and his family moved away to find work in the city when he was a child, leaving it in the care of his aunt. Hi…

Making caviar in Stardew Valley requires a few more steps than it might seem. Creating this artisan good requires a specific type of fish and a preserved jar. Similar to other artisan goods in Stardew Valley, caviar is worth more than the product it’s made from, and it has other uses as well, like being a popular gift. Caviar is also used for the movie theater bundle, which is unlocked after completing one of the main storylines.

How to make caviar

Sturgeon in a fish pond have a chance to produce roe every day.

Caviar is made by putting sturgeon roe in a preserves jar. While you can age any roe you obtain in a preserves jar, only sturgeon roe turns into caviar. There are two ways to obtain sturgeon roe, only one of which consistently produces it.The first method is to put a sturgeon into a fish pond, where it will produce sturgeon roe semi-regularly. To build a fishing …
